Exploring life experiences at home and beyond – Destination Happiness

This was the view from my window this morning. Reality is cold and a little grey for my liking. Waiting for Spring 🙂

Dawn on the horizon

Been up since 4am with my   dog who has lost the art of sleeping. Trying to let everyone else sleep I got up with him. Decided I could look at this early start either

A) Negatively and get angry I have had little sleep or

B) Positively and use the time watching the pitch black sky spattered with twinkling stars begin to turn into a softly lit dawn that soon will casts slithers of light into my family room while catching up with some ‘ME’ time.

I chose B .

Outside gentle bird songs ( and not so gentle kookaburra calls) are the background chorus. I would have missed all this had I been sleeping. Mind you I might not be so philosophical later this afternoon when fatigue sets in hahaha.

So as pup now sleeps snoring softly , the black sky is now an orange horizon with very pale blue rising upwards I have had a quiet time reading and exploring photo scrap booking apps. I’ll show you one I made in this post.

I had some time to read through some writing challenge blogs I follow.

This weekend on the trifecta writing site the challenge was to create a HAIKU poem. A haiku is an unrhymed 17 syllable poem of Japanese origin. It usually has a seasonal reference. The structure is:

line 1 – 5 syllables
line 2 – 7 syllables
line 3 – 5 syllables .

Icy chills give way
To subtle warmth , vibrant hues
No more barren twigs

I used the app SNAP COLLAGE to create an illustration using my own images.

Have a wonderful day 🙂
