Exploring life experiences at home and beyond – Destination Happiness

Gasp, hold breath…Total awe!!

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Having always wanted to see Uluru , last year my wish came true. I still can remember the excitement as the monolith came into distant view…The first photo shows the bend in the other wise straight road where  as you sweep round and  the rock fills your screenshot and mind with amazement! The second photo is of Kata Tjuta in the distant horizon. Both photos were taken on my iPad as the car sped us closer to the site (and sight lol).

A mum to 2 grown up children who always make me proud, a wife and a full time school teacher. I love eating great food but am not motivated to cook. Love traveling around this great country in which I live. Often found traveling with my husband Brian. I write for pleasure and if it's read (and enjoyed) by others then that's a bonus! 2014 saw me begin the 'new' me. Working hard at leaving the fear of 'what if' behind and replacing it with YOLO adventures. :)

  1. Wow, I can’t wait to see it in real life! It’s on my bucket list 🙂

  2. Wow! Such an amazing journey. Can’t wait to check out some more of your posts.

  3. We’re planning on heading there next year with the kids and caravan. Can’t wait!

  4. Amazing. I hope to see it in real life one day.

  5. Amazing place isn’t it? I went there with my ex over 25 years ago. I want to go again with the Garden Gnome and the Tween and spend more time there than I did the last time. The Tween really wants to see the Red Centre.

    • I’m rarely one to say “just do it” but is one I’d definitely say it for. I wish I’d taken my kids when they were Tweens. It is the only place we never got to go to as a family…. yet – you never know :))

  6. Uluru is definitely on my bucket list too, even more so since my parents went and loved it.

I enjoy reading comments so don't forget to add one please :)
