Trifecta – 33 words

While looking for interesting blogs to read (interesting to me that is) I found the http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/ site.

My understanding is they provide two writing challenges per week. The weekday challenge asks you to use the third definition of the given word in no more than 333 and no less than 33 words. The weekend challenge involves the number three in some manner.  Anyway I’ve had a go with the photo challenge.  Don’t forget to leave your opinion or thoughts in my comments section.

Wilting under the searing heat

Of a summer sun

Angry, bitter, heartbroken, despaired

Life’s shadows stretched

On the canvas of yesterday’s footpath

Think he will come for us today?

He didn’t come yesterday!

A mum to 2 grown up children who always make me proud, a wife and a full time school teacher. I love eating great food but am not motivated to cook. Love traveling around this great country in which I live. Often found traveling with my husband Brian. I write for pleasure and if it's read (and enjoyed) by others then that's a bonus! 2014 saw me begin the 'new' me. Working hard at leaving the fear of 'what if' behind and replacing it with YOLO adventures. :)
